Technology Readiness Level (TLR)
Our team members have been operating the process technology of CO₂ recovery in laboratory facilities for 3 years in trouble-free operation. In continuous operation, there has been no evidence of degradation of the compounds used, fouling or a reduction in extraction performance or the release of CO₂. Several pilot plants have been in trouble-free operation for more than a year in various projects with project partners. In July 2023, a pilot plant for separating CO₂ from digester gas was put into operation at the wastewater treatment plant in Erbach near Ulm as part of a project funded by Baden-Württemberg and the EU (RoKKa). The pure CO₂ gas is made available to one project partner for algae cultivation and another project partner for formate production.
